Ogmore Valley Archers Have-A-Go Voucher Not sure if Archery is for you.. this £20 voucher gives you two sessions to try out archery.

No equipment or experience required. Our accredited trainers will get you setup and shooting.

BEGINNERS COURSE 2024We get you up and running as an archer with our introductory sessions but in order to give you the full benefit of our (Archery GB) trained instructors we offer a full instructed course to improve your understanding and abilities.

We give you dedicated time and a solid foundation, teaching you how to grow from a beginner to an intermediate archer.

ARCHERY GB PROGRESS AWARDS

We run AGB award scheme for all abilities with badges and certificates

AGB Badges

"Celebrate your progress and showcase your passion with the official Archery GB pin badges. Perfect for all ages and abilities, these badges are a fantastic way to set goals, mark milestones, and celebrate your love for archery!"
ARCHERY GB PROGRESS AWARDS

Designed to develop skills and knowledge, regardless of bowstyle. Stay motivated, challenge yourself and have fun earning certificates and badges.

Five skill levels — White, Black, Blue, Red and Gold over 5 age groups. Achieve in any order, one badge per set of scores.

The scheme for indoor and outdoor archery, allowing you to track your progress.

ROUNDS

Three qualifying scores per badge. 36 arrows in a single session with six sighter arrows.

  • Indoor : 10, 15 and 20 yards (depending on age group and badge colour) on 60cm Portsmouth target.
  • Outdoor : on 80/120cm face.

Multiple rounds can be shot back-to-back.

SCORES

Five age groups: U12, U14, U16, U18 and Seniors. Over 65 can opt for U16 scores.

  • Outdoors : ALL bow styles, 5 zone scoring for 122cm and 10 zones for 80cm face.
  • Indoors : 10 zone scoring for ALL bow styles (Compounds use inner 10 ring to score 10).

CLAIM A BADGE

Ask for a score sheet, complete your qualifying rounds, submit to Rob and pay the purchase price of the badge.

Appointed in 2019 he has been with the club for over 7 years, shooting recurve and compound. As an accredited trainer he regularly instructs beginners & intermediates.

Appointed in 2025, Gary is our lead instructor for beginners and a driving force in developing the club.

Integral to the club and our longest standing member. She is an accredited trainer and develops members skills.


Our instructors are Archery GB trained and attend AGB approved child protection courses.

Over a dozen people make the club a success every week, their passion and dedication to the growth and good name of the club makes us a fun place to shoot.
